What is 52 Women?
52 Women Incorporated is a not-for-profit association, with 6 women currently on the committee, and an aim of supporting Free2b Girls Groups.
After surviving 2 winters living in a caravan on the East Coast Tasmania, Tani, founder of Free2b Girls, was cold and very tired. She’d watched Free2b Girls Groups grow in several regions and was feeling overwhelmed by the work involved with keeping them afloat. The Free2b Girls model needs communities, organisations and funding bodies to support groups that are established. Inspiring and activating this support is a big job, as not everyone understands why girls deserve a bit of time and space to themselves once a week. So to help with this part of Free2b Girls, 52 Women was born in 2022.
52 Women represents a symbolic gesture – a woman a week offering support when a woman most needs it.

What does your donation help support?
Your donation helps ‘actionate’ girls endless ideas and inspirations, sustain and support our Free2b girls volunteers, keep a facilitator on the ground each week, keep girls fed, pay for excursions and activities, update child safe trainings, facilitate excursions, camping, movie nights, market stalls, fuel funds for volunteers, the purchasing of food and craft materials and much more that helps maintain long term sustainability.
